I started this business based on the needs that I saw from my friends and family, the escalation of major crimes, and the love of guns and the freedoms given to me as an American. As a retired Army Sergeant Major, I have over 28 years of weapons training and personal experience that has helped me establish this business. To this day, I have proudly served my nation and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve you in all your guns & ammo needs.
McDaniel Guns and Ammo has recently celebrated its’ SIXTH Year Anniversary!! Thanks to all my friends and Family for your support!! My main goal was to provide a service to my customers that provided a personal and up front approach to educate and procure firearms / ammo at the best possible price for all to be satisfied with.
I appreciate all the challenges that I have faced with the current market: low amount of availability of guns and ammo to go along with the unreasonable prices for these commodities, and the prejudice of Distributors to keep the small owner from enjoying life, freedom and the pursuit of happiness to fulfill a business opportunity to keep the Second Amendment alive and well in this country!
I strongly support the individual right to keep and bear arms as defined in the Second Amendment of the US Constitution.

Firearm Transfers
McDaniel Guns and Ammo is able to accept transfers from Licensed FFL dealers and will gladly assist you with your firearm transfers. Please bring a valid form of government issued I.D. upon pick up of your firearm. There is a $20.00 fee for transfer-in items.
How does the Firearm Transfer work?
- Contact your original firearm Dealer for information on shipping to McDaniel Guns and Ammo.
- You will be contacted by McDaniel Guns and Ammo, when the firearm has arrived
- When you pick up your firearm, please bring a valid form of government I.D.
- You will need to complete an ATF Form 4473
- You will be charged $15.00 for the firearm transfer, regardless if you are approved, delayed, or denied by NICS.
Ohio CC holders will NOT need a Background Check - If CC issued on or after March 23, 2015. (Ohio House Bill 234 Dec 2014) CC Holder is still required to complete ATF 4473 and a copy of Driver's License and CCW are needed for file references.
RIGHT TO REFUSE SALE OF FIREARM:
McDaniel Guns and Ammo reserves the right to refuse the sale of any firearms to ANYONE we deem necessary for any reason.
YOU CANNOT PURCHASE A GUN IF:
- You are under indictment or information in any court for a felony or any other crime for which the judge could imprison you for more than one year.
- You have been convicted in any court of a Misdemeanor crime of domestic violence OR You are a Felon or Fugitive of Justice.
- An unlawful User of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any controlled substance.
- Declared mentally defective or committed to a mentally institution.
- Received a Dishonorable discharge from the Armed Forces OR if you are an illegal alien or renounced your citizenship in the US.
- Have a restraining order from harassing, stalking or threatening a person (Child or Intimate Partner) OR convicted of a crime of violence.
ADDRESS REQUIREMENT:
Your address on ATF Form 4473 must match your Driver’s License with a photo ID. Guns cannot be transferred until you have proper documentation. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!!!!!! This is an ATF Requirement.
SALE OF FIREARMS
LONG GUNS:
You must be 18 years old to purchase a Long Gun. Buyers from Out-of-State: States that touch the borders of Ohio are allowed to purchase long guns. Exceptions are limited to Military Personnel Only.
HAND GUNS:
You must be 21 years of age to purchase Hand Guns. You must be an Ohio resident in order to purchase a handgun. Exceptions are limited to Military Personnel Only.
